Nusound Press is an independent music magazine shining a light on new and emerging artists across the nu-alt and electronic underground — the bands, producers and scenes before everyone else catches on.
We started Nusound because the scenes we love — basement hardcore, synth-punk, glitch, whatever comes next — deserve a publication that takes them as seriously as they take themselves, without losing the plot. Loud opinions, real reporting, and a refusal to ask permission.
We cover the bands before the algorithm does, run the demos everyone else ignores, and document the venues holding the whole thing up. And when a record needs to exist, we press it ourselves.
We're a small operation, so we use AI tools to help research and draft some pieces — the way another desk might use a wire service. Every article is reported, fact-checked and edited by a person before it runs, and anything drafted with AI carries a note saying so. We never publish invented quotes, sources or images.
